Sustainable Cinnamon Cultivation Training for 200 Farming Households

Under the GREAT 2 project framework, the Lào Cai Cinnamon and Star Anise Association, in coordination with the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, organized 5 training sessions on sustainable cinnamon cultivation for 200 farming households in Văn Bàn, Bảo Yên, and Bắc Hà districts.

Training topics included:

1. Soil preparation and new cinnamon planting techniques
2. Integrated pest management (IPM) following organic standards
3. Proper harvesting and primary processing to preserve essential oil content
4. Storage and packaging meeting export standards
5. Farm record-keeping for traceability purposes

GREAT 2 is funded by the Australian Government to support sustainable cinnamon value chain development in Lào Cai and the Northwest provinces.
