Cinnamon Export Prices Rise Sharply in Q4/2025

According to a report by the Lào Cai Cinnamon and Star Anise Association, cinnamon export prices in Q4/2025 rose an average of 15–20% year-on-year, reaching VND 85,000–95,000/kg for Grade 1 cassia.
Key drivers include rising demand from India, Bangladesh, and Middle Eastern markets, while global supply has been affected by El Niño in major producing countries.
- Grade 1 cassia sticks: VND 95,000/kg
- Cassia chips: VND 45,000/kg
- Star anise: VND 120,000/kg
The Association advises farmers to harvest at the right time and store products properly to preserve essential oil quality, avoiding premature harvesting which degrades oil content.
